In Honor of Mr. Taghi Asgari

In Honor of Mr. Taghi Asgari

Mr. Taghi Asgari was honored on the first day of Diving Competitions (22nd Nov.

2010) and a his contributions were enumerated both in English & Chinese and

the spectators honored him.

AASF hope to continue this action in future to appreciate the Asian Legends in

Aquatics.

Taghi Asgari, Diving legend

Taghi Asgari, Diving legendHe was born in 1924 in Tehran. In his
first attendance in National Competition in 1941 he won silver Medal and in his
last participation in Iranian National Competitions he achieved Gold Medals (He was 41 years old).

He attended in the 1st
Asian Games (Delhi-India) and achieved one Silver and one Bronze Medal.

After 14 years he attended in 4th

2nd Asian Youth Water Polo Championships

2nd Asian Youth Water Polo Championships This competition which was the Qualification Tournament for the FINA World Junior Championship was held in
Indonesia from 6-12 October 2010. A reasonable number of participating
countries prepared the way for a high level event and we observed good
